Erianna "Chimone" Dupras

This is Chimone’s fifth year as a counselor but she has been coming to BBC for almost 9 years.  She started at camp as a camper, became an intern for two years, and then started working on staff the following year as an assistant counselor. In the following three years she worked as a counselor and last summer as a CIT Leader. She is from Rutland, VT and enjoys to travel whenever she gets the chance to. She is currently studying forensic psychology at the College of Saint Rose. She loves the movie “Mulan”, the band “Mumford and Sons” and her favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies. Her favorite BBC activity is Mission Impossible, and she is super excited to be back at camp this upcoming summer to reconnect with past staff and campers as well as new ones.

Angel "Cupid" Staley

Shalom, I’m Cupid. I’ve spent most of my life in Vermont near camp. I was a camper as a lad then I put my big girl pants on and became an intern, which leads to assistant counselor, and now I’m here in the big leagues as a counselor. I’m really into loving nature and all that brings which makes me super excited to spend my whole summer in the great outdoors with other neature enthusiasts.

Alana "Nugget" Bergey

This is Nugget’s second full summer as a counselor and she is so excited to be back! She loves flying whizzball and eating BO at BBC. If she’s not at camp, she’s probably out running or jamming to musicals. Nugget can’t wait to meet everyone this summer and watch God work!

Allison Shelly

This will be Allison’s first time to be at BBC or even in Vermont; however, she’s gained a love for summer camp through two years of being on staff and ten years of being a camper at Pine Lake Fellowship Camp in Meridian, MS. Some of Allison’s favorites include day-old Subway sandwiches, hiking with views, hammocking, and hanging out with people that make her laugh (which isn’t hard). Allison is super excited this summer to escape the Mississippi heat and get to spend time with amazing campers and staff.

Isaac Alderfer

Isaac is really excited to be involved at camp this summer at Bethany Birches and experiencing the beautiful outdoors of Vermont! He is from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and currently entering his sophomore year of school at Eastern Mennonite University. He has been involved both as a camper and on staff at a Mennonite camp near his home pretty much since he could walk and has fallen in love with the camp environment through the many summers spent in the outdoors. You could find him most free weekends at home hiking in the mountains, kayaking, biking, running, and probably carrying a camera most of those places. This will be his first summer on staff at BBC and he is excited to become part of the community and make an impact!

Andrew "Shamu" Peltier

(Day Camp and Leadership Counselor)

This will be Shamu’s third summer working on staff. He grew up in Arizona (probably the best state), and currently spends the school year in Virginia at Eastern Mennonite University and his summers in Vermont at Bethany Birches. He loves the band “Cage the Elephant”, doing really any outdoor activity, and chocolate milk. His favorite activity at BBC is the Cinema, and he’s really looking forward to working with the staff and meeting all the campers this summer!

Laura "Triple Chin Toam" Bergey

(Lead Cook)

Triple Chin Toam is excited for her third summer working in the kitchen. She is from Pennsylvania and loves camp and the outdoors. She enjoys singing along to musical soundtracks, spontaneous adventures, playing volleyball, and baking. Toam graduated from high school this spring and is looking forward to taking a year off to do missions overseas. Her favorite activities at BBC are the shindig and barn party and she is so excited to get to know the campers and dance with them at fireside.

Julia "Sharkbait" Bergey

Julia/Sharkbait is from Pennsylvania and this will be her 4th summer in the BBC kitchen. She likes reading, biking, hiking, cooking, and is in love with the general splendor of God’s creation. She is super pumped to be working all summer with both her sisters (Toam and Nugget). She also hopes the campers will all like the food.

Anna "Meatball" Martin

(Resident Camp Director)

This is Meatball’s 3rd summer on staff. This time around comes with a bit of a change as she will be taking on the role of Resident Camp Director. She is extremely excited for this change! Meatball recently graduated college with a degree in elementary education, and cannot wait to soon be a teacher. She loves board games, chocolate ice cream, and hugs… lots of hugs! Meatball loves everything about camp, but is most excited to see all the campers, and to spend another summer in the mud pit.

Flora "Gigi" Dewar

(Day and Leadership Camps Director)

Gigi has been coming to camp for 15 years, as a camper, then counselor, and now as the Day Camp and Leadership Camps Director. She loves the band Kings Kaleidoscope, and enjoys rock climbing, skiing and getting coffee with friends. At camp, Gigi loves pond time and she’s excited to cook over the fire with campers.

Amber "Cheeks" Bergey

(Camp Director)

Cheeks has worked at Bethany Birches for more than a decade. She recently took a few breaks to have her first and second child. She is currently the Camp Director, overseeing the various seasonal leadership staff. In addition to that, she is volunteer coordinator. She is a wonderful host and brings an important motherly perspective to the year-round camp leadership.

Julia "Beehive" Held

(Communications Intern)

Beehive’s back, back, back again – this time as the Communications Intern. You can find her this summer planning new activities, hanging out with campers, filing paperwork and most importantly searching for dinosaurs. She’s from the great state of Texas, but spends most of her time in southern California learning things. Beehive’s favorite movie is Once I Was A Beehive (fun fact: she still is), her favorite food is honey, her favorite animal is the honey bee, and her favorite hairstyle is the beehive. She’s so excited to get back to the buzz of camp to teach campers all about the God who loves them, how important bees are and the intricacies of dinosaur impersonation. Make her day by challenging her to a game of cards, visiting the craft hut or asking her about her favorite subjects (Jesus, bees, dinos and Texas). She can’t wait to light fires and eat Baked Oatmeal with all of you!

(Program Extraordinaire)

This will be my 4th summer on staff but my 15th summer at camp! I’m from Windsor, VT and I go to school in Washington, DC. I lovee the movie Zootopia and I’m a big fan of musicals like Hamilton and Wicked. I also am a huge Patriots and Red Sox fan and I love to play ultimate frisbee! My all time favorite camp activity at BBC is the Polar Bear Swim (and eating the Baked-O after). I’m really excited to see all the returning campers and meet all the new ones too!
